Part 1.)- How Stress is Connected To Everything That You Need—To Stay Productive
Many people have come to me to talk about their stress levels that are out of control. They usually have strong emotions of feeling overwhelmed. They talk about their physical health that suffers, as a result of the stress. They talk about relationships at home, at work, and with their colleagues on the job. And finally, they talk about getting their finances straightened out on top of everything else that’s going on in their life.
Well, I would be overwhelmed and feel out of control of my life, too, if I had all that going on, at the same time. Stress mounts up quickly and it directly affects a person’s sense of time and organization. Stress, time, and staying organized are three words which, cannot be separated; because, they are usually connected, most of the time. One will overlap the other, eventually.
For example, when someone complains that they are experiencing high levels of not being able to manage their time, while having trouble staying organized and productive, you can assume they are under a great deal of stress. But, because the 3 categories are deeply rooted and connected to each other, they touch every aspect of one’s life including family, friends, relationships at home, in job performance, and in the workplace among colleagues.
I’ll talk more about time and organizational management in a few minutes, but for the moment, let’s fully explore stress and the role it plays in our lives and the havoc it creates.
Once you realize the stress and the damage it causes and sets off, you can begin to put events and situations back into place and reconstruct your goals and ambitions so that you can become the productive person you were meant to be.
